RUSLAN ALAKBAROV is a real estate investment veteran who spent over a decade at SOFAZ (Azerbaijan’s sovereign wealth fund) as Deputy CIO and Head of Real Estate. He built SOFAZ’s global real estate platform and launched its fund-of-funds program, deploying $3bn in international real estate and $1bn in private equity across Europe, APAC, and the US. Ruslan holds a B.S. from Lancaster University, an MSc from Bocconi, and is a CFA charterholder.

DMITRY AFANASIEV began his finance career in London in 1996, trading exchange-traded energy and financial derivatives at Prudential-Bache. He later worked in investment banking at DLJ, Lehman Brothers, and CSFB in London and New York, executing M&A totaling over $30bn and raising $10bn in debt and equity. A British national, Dmitry holds an MSc in Economics (SUM) and is FSA (UK) and GSRE (US) registered. Based near Zurich since 2007, his interests beyond advisory work include soil remediation and zero-water cooling.

TED SULLIVAN has advised on $3.2bn of real estate equity investments for firms including AIG, Deutsche Bank, ESR, Heitman, and Capital Partners, across office, hospitality, residential, and logistics. He led international assignments in Tokyo and Beijing with CBRE and, as a Managing Director at Capital Partners, oversaw development, investment, and asset management for completed assets valued at $2.5bn. Ted began his career at CBRE in Los Angeles, holds a B.A. from UCLA, and lives in Barcelona.

CHRIS ORCUTT brings investment and industry experience spanning 14 years on the sell-side as a Managing Director at Strategas Research Partners in Washington, DC. His background includes IPOs, equity and credit execution, and leading distribution for thematic US equity strategies at Strategas Asset Management. After a divestiture in 2020, he became a founding shareholder of Radioisotope Life Sciences (RLS USA), formerly GE Healthcare’s radiopharmaceutical division. Chris holds a B.S. in Economics (Bryant University) and an international economics certificate from LSE, and lives in Connecticut. He currently acts as a non-executive advisory partner.
